This game is for people who have open minds and can take a joke.
Of course, it's not for everyone and if you are easily offended stay the hell away.
Of course, this review is being written in 2020 and the question is, would I recommend this game today? And the answer is, yes, yes and yes! The drawbacks that keep it at an 8 all have to do with aspects of the game that have to do with it's age it came out. What is also very interesting is that at points I felt like I was playing an fps, at times an RPG (and it's not at all an RPG) and at some times a horror game, which is kind of is. Of course, the graphics are way too old now and the game can't hide it's age, but the unreal engine it's worked on is highly playable to this day and the AI is surprisingly cooperative for a game this old. Running with scissors, the devs behind the game, wants you to play as a lunatic, proved even more by the latest part of the game which I won't spoil. The story is pretty much non existent, things just happen and you get to decide, will you stand in the line in the bank or will you burn the people in the line alive with some gasoline? Pay the cashier or shoot him in the face with a shotgun? If you choose to play like a normal person would (which you won't choose, trust me) you will find out that it's very difficult to do that, maybe even impossible. You have to be a complete psychopath to not feel remorse at what you're doing sometimes in this game and the developers know that so they push it to the absolute limits with extreme violence towards very specific groups of people, jokes that don't always land about killing and not feeling remorse and a huge sense of self parody, since you even get to kill people who work at the development company. You have to be a How can anyone take seriously a game that so passionately refuses to take itself seriously? Well, the answer is violence.
